What is Dynamic Reimbursement?
Dynamic Reimbursement is a way of reimbursing your home charging costs based on when you charge.
Instead of using a fixed reimbursement rate, Northe calculates reimbursement using:
- The amount of energy charged
- The time of charging
- The hourly electricity market price
- A country-specific cost model
This helps reimbursement better reflect actual home charging costs, especially if you have a dynamic electricity contract.
How is my reimbursement calculated?
For each charging session, Northe uses:
- The amount of energy charged.
- The time when charging took place.
- The applicable hourly electricity market price.
- Country-specific cost factors.
The reimbursement amount is then automatically calculated and paid according to your company's reimbursement setup.
Why isn't my reimbursement exactly the same as my electricity bill?
Dynamic Reimbursement is designed to estimate home charging costs automatically and fairly across many drivers.
Individual households can have different electricity contracts, network fees, taxes, or other charges that may not be fully reflected in the reimbursement calculation.
As a result, the reimbursement amount may differ slightly from your actual electricity bill.
Why isn't my reimbursement covering all of my electricity costs?
Some electricity contracts include additional charges that are specific to a household, supplier, or contract type.
Dynamic Reimbursement uses a standardized country-specific model rather than your individual electricity bill. This keeps the process simple and avoids the need to submit bills or manually calculate costs.
If you believe your reimbursement does not match your situation, please contact your fleet administrator to discuss whether a different reimbursement model may be more suitable.
Should I use Dynamic Reimbursement if I have a fixed-price electricity contract?
Drivers with fixed-price electricity contracts may find that a fixed reimbursement model better reflects their actual costs.
If you are unsure which model applies to you, please contact your fleet administrator.
What about power tariffs, demand charges, or other special fees?
The reimbursement model is based on standard electricity cost assumptions for each country.
Special contract-specific fees, building-specific charges, or other individual costs may not be included in the reimbursement calculation.
