Fleet managers can choose to reimburse their drivers based on a Fixed $ / kWh Rate, or a Dynamic Model. The Dynamic model calculates reimbursement payouts based on the hourly electricity prices consumed, local taxes, and other variable costs associated with Home Charging.
What is the benefit of Dynamic Reimbursement?
- Drivers are paid out more accurately, improving their annual tax compliance
- Drivers are paid more fairly across energy zones, as regional cost variances are included in reimbursement calculations
- Fleets have the potential to save on reimbursement expenditure (up to 60%)
When should you use Dynamic Reimbursement?
- The driver consumes home energy in Sweden or Norway
- The driver has a dynamic energy contract with their energy provider
- The driver charges at home with one of these charge box brands/models
- If the driver has a fixed electricity contract, the fixed reimbursment model is recommended
How to turn on Dynamic Reimbursement:
- Ensure Home Charging and Reimbursement has been enabled for your Fleet
- Enable Dynamic reimbursement for your Driver, by toggling the reimbursement model:
Thinking of switching from Fixed to Dynamic?
If your driver is currently paid out via the Fixed rate, you can update their reimbursement model by editing the driver profile in the Northe Portal.
NOTE - Reimbursement model updates will be applied to payout calculations for the current month, e.g. if the driver charges in August and September, and changes their reimbursement model in October, then October and subsequent month costs will be paid out in December using the new model.
Please contact Northe Support if you wish to enable Dynamic Reimbursement for your fleet account.
