Your charge key can be used to charge at public stations without the Northe App, but to access price and other features for charging your EV, we recommend you to use the App for a full seamless experience. For some drivers, the charge key needs to be registered in the Northe App before use. If this applies to you, you will have received instructions in a welcome letter by mail that you can follow.
Here are the instructions on how to use your charge key:
1. Start the charging session by holding the charge key against the card reader on the station.
2. Plug the cable into your car. The charging session will start within a few seconds (You can follow the session in the Northe App).
3. Stop the charging session by holding the same charge key against the card reader again. You can also stop the session in the Northe App.
Your completed sessions are available under 'Charging sessions' in the 'Vehicle hub' menu in the Northe App.
Automatic billing: Since the charge key is linked to your Northe account, charging costs are automatically charged to your selected payment method associated with your Northe account.
If you have trouble ordering or connecting a charge key, please contact our support for further assistance. If you experience issues with a specific charging station, contact the operator using the phone number provided at the station.
